Purchased the PDP Pro E 4.5” 9mm and did a bunch of research before shooting. Installed the Sprinco red recoil reducer and took it to the range to shoot. Never shot it with the factory spring and immediately experienced the inability of the spent cartridge to eject. Kept getting caught in the in the ejection port making the firearm unfirable. The spring was too much for the slide. Is this a permanent issue with red spring or is it something that will get better with use? I installed the factory spring and had no issues afterwards.

You’re seeing a pretty common issue. The Sprinco red spring is heavier and often too stiff for the PDP Pro unless you’re running hotter ammo or a comp. It usually doesn’t “break in” enough to fix consistent ejection problems. Since the factory spring runs 100% for you, I’d stick with that or try a lighter Sprinco option instead of the red.

I’ve seen the same thing on a couple PDP Pros, the red spring is just too much unless you’re shooting hotter loads or running a comp @Baryonyx64. If the factory spring is flawless, I’d stick with it or drop to the yellow before chasing a break-in that probably won’t happen.
